May 22nd & May 25th, there will be NO REMOTE LEARNING for the Memorial Day Holiday.

Enjoy the long weekend with your families and BE SAFE!

A Glenfield student, Kerela, started a YouTube channel called "Montclair Read Aloud.” She has been posting video recordings of stories for younger students read by older children and adults in the community. Click HERE to see her and others who have joined.

If you would like to collaborate with Kerala to create a read aloud video, follow these directions:
1. Parents/guardians should give their students permission before sending a video recording.
2. Pick a children’s book to read.
3. Record yourself reading this book.
4. Send an email to Kerala at with the video recordings of your story, and she will upload them to the channel.
Dear Families,

Now that we have settled into our remote learning routines, we can shift our focus to planning for the upcoming school-year. At this time, we are proceeding as though school will begin as usual in September, while preparing for any changes we may need to make for the health of our staff and families. We are in close contact with the Montclair Board of Education and Department of Health and we will keep our parents informed whenever we get definitive information. Click HERE to see the latest MPS COVID-19 notifications.
Please reach out to us if you need any assistance or have concerns about the fall. We understand that everyone’s financial situations will continue to change in the coming months and we can adjust agreements, schedules and tuition level as needed. Our staff is here to support you. Do not hesitate to reach out for any reason. The best way to contact us is via email at . The appropriate staff member will get back to you with a call or email as soon as possible.
Stay strong and let’s think positive thoughts for September!

I have missed seeing our Pre-K family. I hope everyone is well and safe. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of the MCPK parents/caregivers for all you are doing at home with your children.
I know for many of you during the school year you would drop by my office or just catch me in the hallway to talk. I would also see your children when I visited their classrooms almost every day. Now that we have been at home for weeks, you may need assistance with behaviors you are starting to see in your child or you may just need to talk about your feelings and how to continue to cope. I want you to know I am still available for you and your family. Starting next week you can email me to set up an appointment to talk by phone or schedule a Zoom meeting. I would love to see the faces of you and children. We at MCPK are here for you and want to provide you with any support you need.
