Family Orientation Night

Tuesday, 9/22 or Thursday, 9/24

at 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

We ask that all families that are NEW to MCPK this year attend one of these virtual Zoom sessions. The purpose of this orientation is to provide essential information for parents and caregivers about MCPK and all aspects of your child’s pre-kindergarten experience.

CAR PLACARD AND NAME TAG

In your child's Welcome Packet we put a 8 1/2 x 11 size sheet with your child's name and classroom number. Please remember to place the placard on the RIGHT side of your passenger seat window or dashboard. The placard allows us to find your child's name on our Health Screening roster quickly, making drop off more efficient and parent wait time shorter. Help us help you! If you misplace the placard, a homemade sign with your child's full name and class/group will work just as well.

ALSO

Please make sure that your child has their NAME TAG on so that we can take them to their marked location. This is especially important for Walk Up Drop Off. Again, if you misplace the name tag, a home made one works for us.

A MESSAGE FROM MISS LAURA

We are happy to share that a new piece of art has been installed at the MCPK! It is a beautiful mosaic created by Sam Matthews, a NJ Visual Artist, whose company is Art Across Borders. Sam's website is HERE if you would like to learn more about her or her work. The piece is installed opposite the 'winding wall' in Lulu's Garden at our front entrance, and adds a bright and whimsical touch to the space. We are grateful for it's addition to our school!

MCPK'S REVISED CALENDAR

We have updated our 2020-2021 school calendar to include Family Orientation and Back to School nights. Click HERE to view.

Note: Montclair Public Schools have eliminated the October 12th PD day and will now be open for remote instruction. MCPK will keep October 12th as a PD day due to a previously scheduled essential training for our staff. We will be closed for students on 10/12/20.
