Adenike Goncalves

Health Information Tech., Medical Records Department

I had been sitting in the waiting area outside of the records office for it to re-open after lunch. A gentleman came who did not read all of the postings on the door regarding what the protocols were for records requests. He by-passed me and went straight into the office asking questions and seeking service. Ms. Goncalves addressed him professionally while kindly escorting him back to the records waiting area. She answered all of his questions and told him that she would provide him with the forms that he needed to get the process completed. She saw me sitting there and asked who was first. I stated that I was. She provided both of us with a freshly sanitized clipboard and pen because the system had gone down so she asked if we could return on Thursday or if we wanted the items mailed.

While I was preparing to leave, a mother came with her 3 children and they appeared to be overheated by the weather. Ms. Goncalves went out of her way to engage the children as their mother filled out her forms for records. She offered the mother and children water as they waited. Please note that Ms. Adenike Goncalves appeared to have a cast on her leg and was rolling in her chair while not missing a beat in providing great customer service.

Thank you for your commitment to providing a positive experience to our patients each and every day!
