Each day the urgency for the reflection and action of women religious is heightened by the unfolding realities in our world,” 1 Based on this growing awareness, Marian Batho, CSJ, and Joanne Gallagher, CSJ, were among the 265 LCWR leaders, justice promoters, and communicators representing 107 institutes recently gathered in St. Louis, Missouri, for Transforming Grace: Next Steps on the Journey. This second convening deepened shared commitment to the LCWR Call and 2025–2029 resolution. As LCWR approaches its 70th anniversary, Carol Zinn, SSJ, set the tone with a guiding question: “How do we do this work together anew?” 2

Having worked in my role as Director of the Women’s Table for nearly two years and experienced the CSJ charism first-hand when I was afforded the opportunity to participate in an immersion program such as this, I agreed and was so pleased to have been invited. During the gathering, poet Maggie Smith shared work centered around the navigation of life's transitions. After the event, one of the attendees wrote to Sister Rosemary, stating: you and Marie set a beautiful movement going that continues to nurture the spirit of women. | | |

Restoring Our Streets to Dwell In*

Casserly House volunteers, staff, friends and family joined with Archdale Village residents and our host, Viet Nam Temple, to participate in our Neighborhood CleanUp called “Love Your Block.” Not only is “our common home” healthier, but the spirit is also lifted. | *Isaiah 58:12. Scriptural reference to “streets” often refers to living our faith in the public sphere – a place where strangers are welcomed, embodying God’s values of humility, compassion, hospitality, and love in public life. | | |
