Learning from and Honoring Our Veterans

With a history dating back to 1869, when the Manlius School was recognized as one of the top military academies in the country, we have a distinct and personal connection at Manlius Pebble Hill School to the sacrifices made by our nation’s veterans. This week our Lower School students were given the wonderful opportunity to meet with members of Clear Path for Veterans, who brought service dogs to campus – dogs that provide support for veterans through a variety of Clear Path programming. Students also had the opportunity in a number of classes to Zoom with a veteran to learn more about their service - and about each person's role in the military.
To learn more about Clear Path for Veterans in Chittenango and volunteer, visit their website or Facebook and Instagram pages.

Outreach Club collecting cans for Thanksgiving Food Drive
|
The Community Outreach Club is delighted to announce our first can drive of the 2021-2022 school year! This year we are holding a Thanksgiving Food Drive during which we will be collecting non-perishable Thanksgiving food items, such as canned green beans, cranberries, and powdered mashed potatoes. These canned and boxed goods will be donated directly to local homeless shelters on Thanksgiving. We will be collecting non-perishable items from November 1 through November 19. Collection boxes are located in the Phoenix and McNeil Lobbies. We encourage you all to donate at least one can and to spread the word!

First Week of Two-for-Tuesdays is a Success
A huge thank you to our MPH community members for their participation in our Two-for-Tuesday campaign launch day earlier this week. With your incredible support, we raised more than $22,597 for student scholarships and campus initiatives through the MPH Fund. And we still have three Tuesdays in November to go!
Stay tuned for more details hitting inboxes next week, when we will unlock a new challenge from another incredible MPH supporter that will DOUBLE every gift made throughout the course of the day. Feel free to like and share our posts with friends and family encouraging them to give back to our MPH community and support student access and scholarships through The MPH Fund.
THANK YOU!
