This year, the MPH Annual Fund aims to raise $479,000, with a goal of 91% participation from our MPH families (290 families). Your participation in our annual appeal is integral to shaping every student’s experience at Manlius Pebble Hill School. With your gift, you are not only supporting students, but also investing in programmatic and staffing needs.
We hope you consider paying it forward so that the next generation of MPH students can have the same transformational experience our graduates have come to know.

MPHMUN Collection
Manlius Pebble Hill Model United Nations is supporting InterFaith Works by collecting new and lightly used winter gear for refugee families. Interfaith Works supports with refugee families from around the world by settling them in Syracuse. They supply these families with what they need to start their new lives in America. Because of the climate in Syracuse, one of their most dire needs is winter gear. We will be collecting this until October 29 (Harvest Festival). The collection bin is in Ms. Chhablani's room and if you have extra winter gear, please stop by, and donate to help support refugee families!

Volunteers in Action Student-Kit Drive
The new Volunteers in Action program, initiated by upper schoolers Emily Fadda-Conrey and Ferial Migeed, is hosting a student-kit drive to collect items for K-4th grade refugee students. Containing school supplies and other student items, the kits will be donated to Syracuse Rise (Refugee and Immigrant Self-Empowerment) and given to families in need. The club aims to create 50 student kits with the help of MS and US students/families at MPH. To collect the items, there will be a 2-week long drive starting Monday, October 16 until Friday, October 27, with each grade helping to supply a different item. Additionally, the grade that collects the most items will win donuts! Please show your support by bringing in items.

Student Eye Screening November 8
Parents who wish for students to participate must fill out consent
On Wednesday, November 8, the Manlius Lions Club will be coming to campus to complete vision screenings for students. This is primarily aimed at Lower School students but is available to Middle and Upper school students as well. This is a non-invasive, painless, and quick opportunity that requires no medication or preparation. Their equipment offers technology that can diagnose many vision problems an eye chart would miss, particularly in our youngest students. For more information go to www.lionskidsightusa.org.
The vision screening does require parental permission. We ask you to complete and return the consent form if you are interested in having your child screened. Please return it in your student’s folder or to the Health Office no later than Monday, November 6. Questions may be sent to our school nurse Christine Civello.
