Daily Health Assessment
The Pandemic Response Team (PRT) continues to monitor and review adherence to the Daily Health Assessment (DHA) each morning after drop-off. While the vast majority of our community members are completing this regularly, we continue to have students needing to be evaluated upon arrival, causing delays in being admitted to class. To that end, please remember the following:
- The DHA should be completed by 7:15 a.m. Our daily reports are based on adherence at this time, so those submitting after that time will still experience a delay upon arrival.
- If your child will not be on campus for any reason, a completed DHA is still required and attendance protocols (as stated on the DHA) should be followed.
- If you are experiencing an issue with the Magnus app, please contact Magnus support at 877-461-6831 or by email at service@magnushealthportal.com.

Bridge Students Continue Government Studies
Students in the 4/5 Bridge continued their work learning about government this week. They scrutinized the Preamble to the Constitution to help better understand its meaningful words. Fifth graders learned about the three branches of government, what is meant by “balance of power,” and the important role that each branch plays in our government. Both groups enjoyed some hands-on project work, as well!

Join Us For Virtual Book Club!
MPH is launching an Online Book Club via PBC Guru. There is no cost to participate – you just have to get a copy of the book to enjoy. In this online community, you'll be able to connect with one another and enjoy books related to lifelong learning, social issues, literature, psychology, and more.
Our October through December reading is Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson.
How it works:
The Book Club will connect through a private online forum where people can discuss the current book and network with one another. The group will spend two months on each book, so you'll have plenty of time to read. You can sign up and learn more by clicking the link below:
The Book Club will be managed by PBC Guru. PBC Guru manages professional book clubs for companies and alumni associations and will be moderating the group to help make this program a great experience for all participants.
Please email them at info@pbc.guru with any questions or visit their website to see more of what they do.

This Week in Science Club
|
This week, Science Club members performed paper chromatography to separate plant pigments from different colored fall leaves. The papers with the leaf rubbings were placed in a solvent and as the solvent traveled up the paper, the pigments separated out. The strips below show some of the different pigments and colors they discovered from different leaves.
