We're All in This Together
First and foremost, thank you! Thank you for your support, your cooperation, and your partnership as we navigate these unprecedented circumstances together. While it's easy to see the challenges we all face, we thought we'd share just how resilient our community is. Our students are now embarking on the new distance-learning model, and we're already seeing some remarkable results. We're looking at this situation as a way to be creative, collaborative, helpful, and innovative. Take a look at what some of our students and faculty have been up to these past few days!
Ready for Pick-Up!

Bags were packed, packets were stuffed, and materials were sorted by subject. Thanks to the efforts of our faculty and staff and the patience of our community, Tuesday's pick-up went quite smoothly. Thank you!
Why Wait Until Thursday?

Thanks to the packets and materials sent home Tuesday, many students got a jump start on their distance learning! From chalk murals, to science lessons, and even some dancing on FaceTime, our students already seem to be adjusting nicely! Take a look at some pictures that parents sent in!
Upper School Book Club

Mr. Zencka has created an Upper School book club for students and faculty to send in their reviews of books they're reading for fun. Take a look at a preview of his first review on the right!

Mr. Z's Advisory

Mr. Zlomek's eighth grade advisory has already started to plan group activities like online games and even creating an advisory band! Elise Eng shared her new ukulele and demonstrated three chords to kick things off! Another highlight? The moment that Lance Ogden introduced the group to his Bob Ross Chia Pet!
Ms. Henderson Provides New Classroom Environment

Ms. Henderson sent home art supplies for kids to keep creating and learning off-line. Here at school, she prides herself on her open studio environment, where students can drop in to create artwork at any time. So, since they can't drop in here, they now have the supplies they need at home! Ms. Henderson stated, "Because we are teaching everywhere, it means we can teach anywhere. I brought my students to my back pond for a more picturesque classroom environment." Students are encouraged to send in their finished work to Ms. Henderson digitally.

Third and Fourth Grade Teachers Welcome Students

Ms.Ricciardiello and Ms. Concepcion sent a warm welcome message to their students as they gear up for distance learning. Take a look!
Thank You, Brock!

Today, as Chef Christine and her crew were cleaning the Dining Hall, taking inventory, and assessing their perishables, it was obvious that there would be food waste as they prepare for these several weeks of not feeding students. So, with to-go containers and plastic wrap in hand, deli meat, bread, cheeses, and fruit were packaged and delivered to the Samaritan Center, where they continue their work to feed the hungry in Syracuse.
Just For Fun!

Last week, on what turned out to be our last day of physical classes, members of our Pre-K, Kindergraten, and first-grade classes gathered in the Great Space in the CEL to build a boat!
