Get to Know Us One Story at a Time:

Meet three of our newest vendors

Meet Gregory

Gregory just rejoined the StreetWise vendor force. He was a vendor more than 10 years and found that he is a point in his life where he needs a fresh start. He was thrilled to get his permanent badge, apron, and hat that shows Chicago he is a StreetWise vendor.

Meet Ken

Ken is also a returning vendor. He worked as a more than 15 years ago and recently found his way back to StreetWise. He sells magazines in Oak Park near the post office or outside of the Walgreens on Madison Street. Welcome back Ken! (Pictured here with A. Allen)

Meet Scott

Scott is a returning vendor. He found that StreetWise was once again the right fit for him to continue to earn money. You can find Scott selling StreetWise outside of the Starbuck's at Clinton and Washington or near Block 37 at State and Washington. Welcome Scott!

Saying Good-bye to a long-term Vendor

Rest in Power Anthony Weston

We are sad to share that we lost a long-time friend this month.

Anthony Weston became a StreetWise vendor back in 1993. He was vendor number 1559, his original badge number.

For years he was a fixture in the Loop at Clark and Jackson. His customers were federal employees and members of the Union League Club. He attracted attention by flipping the magazine in the air and flashing that bright smile.
