A Piece of Our Past

Millinocket was incorporated as a town March 16, 1901. Now, 124 years later, Millinocket’s Penobscot Avenue looks much different than in the early days. The photo shows that buildings were constructed starting near the mill. On the right are two of the Rush brothers’ businesses and on the left, the building constructed by Frank LePage. It is unknown what group is marching down the street.
