Summer 2022: All About the Thrills and Chills

Whether you’re travelling with the kids or are a kid at heart, there’s nothing like spending a day (or days!) at an amusement park to bring out the kid in all of us. The Maine Beaches is home to four of them, scheduled to open between May and June, and each offering a distinctively different experience with both exciting thrills and opportunities to chill. From exhilarating midways and boisterous seaside arcades to refreshing waterparks and sizzling fried dough, a day at a Maine Beaches amusement park will create memories that last a lifetime.

Read on to learn more about our parks and their unique offerings (including fireworks displays and a drive in movie theater)! We’re sure once you do you’ll want to visit at least one, two or maybe all of them. And with everything in the region nearby and accessible, it’s easy to do!

For over 40 years, Aquaboggan in Saco has offered fun and excitement for the whole family, from toddlers to grown-ups. Attractions include adrenaline pumping, high-speed water slides, cooling wave pools, and a delightful 18-hole mini-golf course. Coming in summer 2022, the nights will see Aquaboggan transform into the Saco Drive-In Theater! While the experience of a drive in might harken back to a bygone era, it’s an experience everyone should have!
