Mama G's Lifestyle has given me so much joy to be able to feel good every day...
2 yrs. 9 months w/ MGL. Started Feb. 2021, 119 lbs and declining. I had GI issues; I didn’t feel well most of the time lacking energy as well. Frequent dinners out were interrupted with a run to the restroom with severe lower abdominal pain, and you can guess the rest. Most meals were not comfortable for me as I usually had severe cramping. After suffering for years along with going to a gastroenterologist, intestinal biopsies, and ultrasounds of my lower and upper GI, he had me on expensive and strong antibiotics which only worked for a few months. Then after trying an MD who practiced integrative medicine blood work and testing for food items that were irritating me. I removed a number of vegetables and dairy items from my diet for 6 months. My weight crashed at that time. My husband was in a panic. I did a little better but still had the same issues not as often and continued the full term of the 6 months. Of course, there were supplements. Meanwhile, my blood pressure was high, and no matter what the doctor was doing it was spiking, and I was worried. I still have no energy and not feeling good.
In a nutshell, an epiphany! Mama G came into my life. Not to say I didn’t have doubts and a lot of questions as my body did not respond overnight but it did within the first 3 months of following MGL like a prescription. And I mean to the “T”! I today am feeling so great (almost 75 years old) better than I have felt in years! I gained 9 pounds very slowly and then lost a couple after a year or so settling into a homeostasis of around 127. My blood pressure is now very consistent and on the low side of normal to normal.
Today, I can deviate from the MGL lifestyle but choose not to as when I have for any length of time when traveling, my gut could feel the difference and gave me warnings. It takes several days to get myself back. There is no possible way that I will give up where I am today with the help and guidance from Gina and the MGL lifestyle to take a step backward and risk feeling like I did. I feel great and can enjoy every day to its fullest with my husband and family, riding my horse and walking my dog plus feeling mentally up to the challenges of quick books.
MGL has truly become a lifestyle that I am committed to. It has given me so much joy to be able to feel good every day, and look forward to tomorrow. Forever grateful.

In the United States, 28.8 million Americans will suffer from an eating disorder at some point in their lives. Eating disorders are serious but treatable mental and physical illnesses that can affect people of all genders, ages, races, religions, ethnicities, sexual orientations, body shapes, and weights. In fact, eating disorders have the second highest mortality rate of all mental health disorders, surpassed only by opioid use disorder.
Eating disorders are widely misunderstood illnesses and support options are often inaccessible. As a result, too many people are left feeling helpless, hopeless, and frightened. Through our programs and services, NEDA raises awareness, builds communities of support and recovery, funds research, and puts vital resources into the hands of those in need.

Virtual Fitness Options
The Swami Method is the creation of Sandra Swami, my long time friend and fitness mentor. It is movement inspired by Yoga, Pilates, Dance, and Human Biomechanics fused with the science of Fascial Stretch Therapy. The result is a movement practice that allows individuals to restore their fascial health, improve mobility and performance, and reduce chronic pain.
