President's Message
Dear AAUW Members,

AAUW Vero Beach Branch continues to impress me with interesting and friendly new members. Some of the new members already are involved in this year's activities and many are volunteering for next year's Appointed Offices. This commitment is fantastic! We applaud and thank you for it.

I also appreciate the group that came 87 strong to Bent Pine for our Regional meeting. Avalon McGann wrote a very nice article with pictures and names for this Hotline.

Friendly members, community commitment, good programs and our philanthropy programs draw additional members and interesting involved members New and exciting programs and venue ideas are encouraged and welcomed. As they say, timing is everything. Many members have wonderful ideas but I don't think you realize that the program Vice Presidents have completed most of their work by mid-June. Otherwise, they won't be printed in the Cultural Council Schedule or our Handbook with 2018-19 new officers and membership renewals. I know you have great ideas. Please email or call them to Co-Presidents Av McGann at [email protected], 299-1393 or Lorrie Borchert at [email protected], 540 226-2034. They will present them at their meeting with the Co-Vice Presidents of Programs. So in the next couple months, please keep us in mind when you hear about ideas for programs or restaurants that we could try. Thanks so much.

Sincerely,

Joyce Burkett
