Nonprofit Training Series
The Athens Area Community Foundation, United Way of Northeast Georgia, Athens-Clarke County Unified Government, UGA's Office of Service Learning, and UGA's Institute for Nonprofit Organizations have joined together to provide a series of trainings for nonprofit organizations in Northeast Georgia.

Building upon a successful 4-course curriculum in 2017-2018, the collaborative group looks forward to offering 5 new, relevant trainings in 2018-2019 that meet the specific needs of nonprofits in our community.

Specialists from areas in nonprofit development, fundraising, board management and more will leverage their insight and expertise to help organizations build capacity and show impact.

Each training is provided for free, with a suggested donation of $10/organization/training to cover printing costs, coffee, snacks, and any travel costs for trainers. Donations will be taken at the start of each training.

Please RSVP to each training, as space is limited.

Please save these dates for our Spring Training Series.

Barrow County now has stroke treatment center:

Thanks to Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Barrow’s advancement in multiple areas of stroke care, the hospital is now designated as a Remote Treatment Stroke Center by the Georgia Department of Public Health’s Office of EMS and Trauma. Since every minute counts when brain cells are dying, it is very crucial that patients are taken to the closest designated stroke treatment center. NGMC Barrow now provides this life-saving care right here in Barrow County
