TIS THE SEASON!

There’s always something special about this time of year in Louisiana.

King cakes are sliced and shared, beads are everywhere, and Mardi Gras reminds us why this feels like home—community, tradition and heart.

As we celebrate the season of parades and fun times, it’s equally special to reflect on what makes our neighborhoods so unique.

We'll also examine news in the real estate market and how this lively season can bring new opportunities—whether you’re thinking about buying, selling, or just enjoying the ride.

IN THIS ISSUE: MARDI GRAS FUN PLUS DECLUTTERING AND ORGANIZING IN THE NEW YEAR [AND A CHALLENGE]

This month's newsletter focuses on Mardi Gras --events, ideas, recipes-- but since we are still in the beginning of the year and before Spring, what better time to declutter and organize?

I invite you to join me on a 30 day decluttering challenge--see below!

ON THE REAL ESTATE FRONT

This month we return to the market report and I want to talk about home ownership and what this represents within your investment portfolio.

Here are a few key *data points to consider:

  • Close to 65% of households are based on homeownership
  • About 5% of homeowners own more than 1 home
  • Almost 75% of homes are mortgaged
  • The net worth of a homeowner includes 50% of it invested in real estate holdings
  • In Louisiana, it takes an median annual salary of about $79,000 to be able to own a 3-bedroom home [see image for each state]
  • The great news is that by looking at the map below, you will note that this makes us the 3rd most affordable place in the U.S. for homeownership!

To help you get ahead of the Spring Market, next month, I will write about the 7 key reasons to own a home and why home ownership is such a great investment!

But if you want to talk about this now, just call or text me at the number below. I am always happy to discuss your home selling or buying plans and help you get the most favorable outcomes.

REMEMBER: If selling your home, the Mardi Gras season is the perfect time to showcase your home with the most creative staging and decor!

RAE MANALE, CLIENT COORDINATOR

Rae Manale, is a New Orleans Native who relocated to the Northshore after Katrina. An LSU Alumna, Rae was Vice President of the LSU Real Estate Association.

She has been in the Real Estate Industry for over 7 years, but she brings new and inspiring ideas to our team, and will efficiently organize all processes to elevate and streamline your experience and make the buying and selling process stress free. Rae also enjoys marketing and has brought our marketing and social media to a whole new level.

Rae enjoys getting involved in her community and most importantly the joys of watching her toddler grow. Family is very important to her, so when she is not working or exercising her body/mind, you can find her spending time with the ones closest to her.
