2022-2023 FAMILY DIRECTORY
The Marian High School 2022-2023 Family Directory is now available via Schoology Resources. You will need to login to your Schoology account first and then follow these directions. NOTE: The directory is available to Marian faculty, staff, families, and parent club officers only. Confidentiality is a priority and its use should be limited to appropriate school communications.
CYBER SECURITY REMINDERS
Marian would like to take this opportunity to let our community know about our cyber security efforts and how you can all be a part of it. The top suggestion by all experts is to use good judgment and be wary of things that are too good to be true or otherwise sound out of place. If you’d like more information about phishing and how you can help the whole Marian community avoid cyber-attacks, here is more Information from the Marian IT Department.
FRIENDLY REMINDER REGARDING ILLNESSES
Over the past two weeks we have seen a sharp increase in students coming to school sick, as well as multiple students absent due to non-Covid illness (including sinus and cold-like symptoms, cough, sore throat, headache, fatigue, etc.). Please know our desire is for everyone to be present in school. However, in an effort to keep as many students as possible healthy and in class, we ask that if your daughter is not feeling well to please consider keeping her home until she is feeling better. Your help in keeping our Marian community healthy is much appreciated.

Marian and Sacred Heart JV and Varsity Field Hockey teams partnered with the American Cancer Society for a "Gold Out" game on Thursday, September 22 to raise awareness and funding for childhood cancer research. The Bloomfield Sports Shop printed special T-shirts for the players and parents to wear during the game. Both teams had t-shirts created with the ACS logo, their numbers on the back and an option to put someone's name on the back of their shirt who has been impacted by cancer (essentially, the athlete would be playing for them). Final score: Marian 1, Sacred Heart 0.

In order to make purchases from TruFood, Marian's food service provider, an account has been established for each Marian student. PaySchools accounts can be funded online at any time by following these instructions or by cash or check at a register in the SDA starting on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. You'll need a student ID (it's on your course list and in PowerSchool) to add funds electronically.

Parents please click here for a one-stop list and description of the different online accounts that you have or will need to set-up and be able to access for your student this school year.

STOP THE SILENCE ... REMEMBER, IT'S OK2SAY
As we continue to adapt to ever changing schedules and instructional formats, it's important that we don't allow the decreased time we spend together physically to decay into a culture of silence around harmful behavior. To that end, we are writing to remind you that OK2SAY is committed to preventing physical and emotional harm before it occurs by providing an easy-to-use, confidential, 24/7 tip line.
