PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES, SEPTEMBER 22

The September 2022 edition of Marian's Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place virtually on the Zoom platform on Thursday, September 22 from 3:00pm - 5:30pm and 6:30pm - 8:00pm. As in years past, parents may use PTC Wizard to make 5-minute appointments with their daughter's teachers. Conference scheduling will open at 8:00 AM on Thursday, September 8 and will close at 11:59 PM on Tuesday, September 20. Click here for step-by-step instructions to login in or create your account, including how to add more than one daughter to your account for conference scheduling. When scheduling opens on Thursday, you may click here to make your appointments.



JOIN US FOR DINNER AT THE DADS' CLUB KICKOFF MEETING, SEPTEMBER 8

All Marian Dad's are welcome to join us for a catered meal on this Thursday, September 8th at 7:00pm in the Student Dining Area at Marian High School. Join us for a great time learning about the fun social events that we have throughout the year with our daughters, as well as the upcoming calendar of events where we build up the Marian "strong" community. September is a busy month with 2 "tailgate" parties, and a cookout. Hope to see you there and we can fill you in on the details.

BROTHER RICE PARENT TEACHER VIRTUAL CONFERENCES, SEPTEMBER 14-15 

Virtual conferences for Brother Rice are Wednesday, September 14 from 2:30pm - 5:30pm, and Thursday, September 15 from 3:30pm - 8:30pm. Conferences will take place using the Zoom video conferencing platform. Brother Rice is again using PTC Wizard to facilitate conference appointments. After you book your appointments using the PTC Wizard, you will receive an email with the Zoom links needed to meet with your daughter's teachers.

Please click here to review this four-minute instructional video which walks through logging in to PTC Wizard and scheduling appointments. Parents were sent a reminder message with their username/password for the PTC site on Tuesday, September 6. You will need to use this password to access PTC Wizard, and the password cannot be changed. If you did not receive your email with your username/password, please contact the Brother Rice Technology Department at (248) 833-2200. You may begin scheduling conferences on Wednesday, September 7 at 12:00pm. The PTC Wizard will close on Wednesday, September 14 at 12:00pm.

LEADERSHIP DAY (new last week)

Marian’s All School Board (ASB) once again sponsored Leadership Day today. The day’s theme echoed the school theme of Kindness and Respect.  Extracurricular club officers met in the morning to discuss leadership styles and goal setting. All students gathered for our first Mass of the school year. In the afternoon, the four class boards met to focus on leading with respect and kindness in various situations. Thanks to Mrs. Knipper for arranging two alumnae speakers. Maggie DePorre ’18 spoke to the club officers and Sese Kammo ’18, former ASB President, spoke to the class leaders in the afternoon.

FUNDING STUDENT LUNCH ACCOUNTS

In order to make purchases from TruFood, Marian's food service provider, an account has been established for each Marian student. These accounts are held by an organization called PaySchools and are accessed in the Student Dining Area (SDA) via the barcode on every student's ID card. PaySchools accounts can be funded online at any time by following these instructions or by cash or check at a register in the SDA starting on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. You'll need a student ID (it's on your course list and in PowerSchool) to add funds electronically.

ITEM DROP OFF FOR STUDENTS

When dropping off items for students, please use the table located between the doors near the front foyer. Please make sure that any items are labeled with the students name. There are pens and labels available on the table should you need them. Be sure to let your daughter know that there is an item (or items) on the table for her to pick up. Valuables like money, electronics, wallets etc. should be brought to the Front Office to be stored until your student is able to pick them up.
