We had an awesome time at the MRC Lagoon Castaway Summer Camp. The campers had a blast building ROVs, learning about the animals of the lagoon, tasting edible Florida natives and learning about the importance of pollinators. Thank you to everyone who got involved; volunteers, presenters, and those who donated!

City of Satellite Beach: Sustainability and Stewardship

Join us for our July Brown Bag on the City of Satellite Beach's Sustainability Action Plan. Nick Sanzone, the Environmental Programs Coordinator for the City of Satellite Beach, will be providing an overview of the plan. He will also discuss how the City went about creating a Sustainability Action plan and what has been done since the plan took effect. In addition to discussing the accomplishments of the plan, Nick will talk about what the future goals and how community members get involved. MRC Spotlight: Kaitlin Smith, Human Resources Intern
Kaitlin began working with MRC this past January as the Human Resources Intern. She was born in Portland, Oregon and moved to Palm Bay as a small child. She just recently graduated this past May from Eastern Florida State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management. Kaitlin is also an active volunteer for the Frog Watch USA program, which monitors the mating calls of various species of frogs throughout the United States. She has been a great help with her stellar organization skills and passion for paperwork. Thank you Kaitlin and congratulations on your graduation!
