A Message From Vicki Davis,

Martin County Supervisor of Elections

As we welcome 2026, the countdown to an important election year begins. Voters in Martin County will have two opportunities to make their voices heard:

  • Primary Election: August 18, 2026
  • General Election: November 3, 2026

It’s important to note that as a registered voter, you have three options in which to cast your vote: Early Voting, Vote by Mail, or Election Day. Whichever method you choose, taking the time to exercise your right to vote is what matters most.

Our office is working hard to serve you better. We’ve added two additional team members, we are upgrading our voting equipment, introducing innovative student outreach programs, recruiting additional election workers, and continuing our commitment to being your trusted source for election information.

Thank you for your continued support and trust in me and my team. If we can assist you or improve your voting experience, please don’t hesitate to call our office at 772-288-5637 or visit us in person anytime. My commitment to you and open-door policy remains in place.

See you at the polls!

-Vicki

News & Updates

Martin County to Receive Brand-New Voting Equipment for 2026

On December 2nd, the Martin County Board of Commissioners approved the purchase of new voting equipment for the Supervisor of Elections Office—marking the first major tabulator upgrade since 2008.

The new ES&S DS300 will replace the county’s long-serving DS200 units. The DS300 offers faster ballot scanning, quicker startup, improved reporting, and greater efficiency for poll workers. Supervisor Davis was able to upgrade the voting equipment thanks to a reserve fund she recommended years ago, allowing the county to modernize without unexpected budget impacts.

Martin County has partnered with ES&S since 2002 and will continue using state-certified equipment, ensuring continuity, compliance, and reliability. With this upgrade, voters can expect an efficient and secure voting experience in the 2026 Election Year—because in Martin County, your vote is our priority.

This launch is part of our broader digital outreach strategy, which includes our “Martin Votes” Newsletter, email reminders, Google Business updates, community engagement, and partnerships with local schools. As we head into a busy 2026 election year, we encourage you to follow, share, and stay informed as we work to reach and educate all Martin County voters.

Key Dates & What Voters Need To Know

Florida Is A CLOSED Primary State

Here's What That Means

Florida voters should be aware that the state uses a Closed Primary system. This means:

  • In a primary election, you are entitled to vote the official primary election ballot of the political party you are registered with and no other, FS 101.021.

  • You must be registered with your party of choice 29 days before a primary election, FS 97.055.

  • At the general election you may vote for any candidate or question on the ballot, regardless of party affiliation.

If you are unsure of your current party affiliation, now is a great time to check your voter registration status at www.MartinVotes.gov
