A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Look at YOU!

Trying to come up with a topic to share as my president’s message is a challenge for me. Trust me, it is not as easy as it looks. In my contemplation for this message, I explored many ideas, but none of them seemed to work. Then, I had this idea.

Of all the things I could talk to you about, I would most like to talk about YOU. The YOU that gives big and small. The YOU that spends your precious free time to improve the profession that you have already spent 40 plus hours a week practicing. The YOU that is the backbone of this Association.

I cannot imagine an association without YOU. I think about ways to copy YOU as our Association could use more of YOU.

That is what I would like YOU to think about. Chances are YOU associate with people a lot like YOU. They are members of our profession, but not yet members of our Association.  I believe YOU are the key that will open the door of membership to them.

If YOU can set the goal of explaining the relevance that YOU feel makes our Association worthy of your efforts to just one person, I am convinced that person will feel the strength of your convictions and consider joining as well. YOU are our best membership ambassador.

I hope that You can make the effort to reach out to your colleagues. The ability of our Association to continue depends upon this effort being duplicated by each one of YOU.

Speaking of YOU, your ideas really matter to your leadership team. We will be working on our next strategic plan. If you are interested in contributing ideas, please contact me.

As always, thank you for your continued support. I look forward to seeing YOU soon!
