Original VBS from a Local Church:
Bentonville First has a tradition of writing their own mission driven VBS curriculum each year and this year is not different. However, the Children's Minister Sadie Stratton is willing to share what she has written in PDF format for you to create your own virtual VBS videos OR wait until June 1 and Sadie is willing to share the videos she creates to other churches around the state. The theme for Bentonville First VBS this year is We ARE the Church! Pdf written curriculum is hoped to be produced by May 15 You can contact Sadie if you are interested in graciously sharing of original VBS curriculum. [email protected]

*If you downloaded Grow's Free Curriculum Deep Blue Sea VBS early in the year, do not use it! They currently have a Cease and Desist order on that Curriculum. It would NOT be legal to use it in your church or virtually.
Like a good fruit salad, we can all add what we have and create something yummy! Giving you some time to conference with your church VBS planning team about what they feel is best approach for your church during this time of no in-person VBS, let's come together and share ideas. Melinda will be on the Zoom to moderate, but this is a way to connect across the state with other Children's Ministers!

  • Who is leaning toward what VBS theme?
  • Are you charging or is it free?
  • Are you sending T-shirts or not messing with VBS T-shirts?
  • What registration platform are you using?
  • What ideas do you have for posting the Virtual VBS links each day?
  • Who needs help?
  • Who has recorded material already to share?
  • What is the recommended platform to get links to parents?

Helpful Tips to Remember
 when you Zoom with Kids!
You may want to sing or pray in unison with kids on Zoom. It can sound harsh if you don't have everyone adjust their Zoom settings. You can follow this link to a downloadable PDF on our website that you can send to parents to adjust the settings if you are planning to sing or pray in unison with a group of kids.
