How Socially Connected Do You Feel?

Connection is a remedy for social isolation. Help us share the importance of connection with older adults in May. Every May, the Administration for Community Living (ACL) celebrates Older Americans Month (OAM). This year’s theme is Powered by Connection, which ties in with the March celebration of the Senior Nutrition Program and its theme of Connection in Every Bite. If you missed celebrating your Senior Nutrition Program in March, check out some activity ideas from ACL.

Whatever it is that you decide to do, take photos or some short videos! These are great resources to share and promote yourself and the work that you are doing. Share the photos and videos on social media to show the fun things you are doing in your state or community.

Participate with us! I invite you to a selfie challenge!

How to participate:

  1. Take a piece of paper and write “I will connect with…” and fill in the blank!
  2. Take a selfie with your paper.
  3. Post the photo and tag the “Nutrition and Aging Resource Center” in your text.

Let’s spread the word about the importance of connection with those around us, no matter our age!

Promote yourself and make it FUN!
