What you should know about the afterlife
You're going to live forever. The questions are where, and how. The same God who created you in His image has revealed important truths about your destiny. What Everyone Should Know About the Afterlife briefly addresses what the Bible says about death, judgment, heaven, hell, and much more.

False views of the Trinity
There are many false definitions of the Trinity. Some are grounded in misunderstanding, like the Muslim belief that Christians are polytheists for worshiping God, Jesus, and Mary. Others properly identify the persons of the Godhead but misrepresent how they relate to one another. Clarity is key.

A study of 1 Timothy
Between his first and second imprisonments in Rome, Paul writes a letter of encouragement and instruction to Timothy, whom Paul has left as overseer of the church in Ephesus. This 11-part study explores how Paul urges Timothy to face his many challenges head-on, with a goal of "love from a pure heart, a good, conscience, and a sincere faith."

The failure of analogies
In seeking to simplify the complex truth of the Trinity -- one God in three persons -- Christians sometimes resort to analogies, which seem helpful on the surface but fail to do justice to our infinite and eternal God. Worse, these analogies often unintentionally represent ancient heresies.

Jesus in the feasts of Israel
The feasts of Israel are religious celebrations remembering God's great acts of salvation in the history of His people. Observed by faithful Jews under the Old Covenant, they foreshadowed the person and work of the coming Messiah. Jesus fulfilled the four spring feasts in the Incarnation, and He will fulfill the three fall feasts when He returns.

New from High Street Press
High Street Press, the publishing imprint of the Missouri Baptist Convention, has just released a new resource for personal or group study: Jesus Before Bethlehem: What Every Christian Should Know About the Angel of the L ORD . This 335-page resource explores dozens of Old Testament Christophanies , or appearances of the preincarnate Christ. Written for pastors and laypersons, the study is designed to show how the eternal Son of God has always taken a personal interest in those He created to be His imagers on earth.
