Promise Made. Promise Kept. The Best Is Yet to Come.
Dear Miramar Neighbors,
During my recent State of the City Address, I reflected on how far Miramar has come over the past decade. I am proud of what we have accomplished together. But our success is not just about looking back. It is about honoring the promises we made and preparing for what comes next.
A decade ago, you challenged us to offer more: more dining options, more entertainment, more quality jobs and greater economic opportunity. You wanted a city where families could enjoy more of what South Florida offers without leaving their community.
Promise made. Promise kept. And we are still delivering.
Today, Miramar is attracting major corporations, creating higher paying jobs and expanding dining and entertainment opportunities. Transformational investments like the $1.5 billion Miramar Cove development are becoming reality. These achievements reflect a vision we believed in, even when others questioned what Miramar could become.
But the work isn’t done.
South Florida is growing rapidly. The decisions we make today will shape Miramar for decades to come. Rising costs continue to challenge families, seniors and small businesses. We must prepare our residents for emerging industries and ensure they have opportunities to participate in our region’s growth.
We must invest today to deliver tomorrow.
That means attracting quality employers, preparing young people for future careers, supporting local businesses and protecting the quality of life our residents have worked hard to build. As we celebrate the promises kept, we must also make new commitments to the next generation.
At the State of the City Address, I asked a question that I want every resident to consider:
Where is Miramar headed next, and what role will you play in shaping its future?
A great city is not built by elected leaders alone. It takes engaged residents, committed businesses, dedicated City employees and neighbors working toward a common goal.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the State of the City Address and to our City employees who serve our community every day. We have come a long way together, and I firmly believe our best days are still ahead.
Promises made. Promises kept. More promises to deliver.
The work isn’t done, Miramar. Let’s finish what we started!
Now, let’s get into the highlights!
