Spotlight  Heart & Seoul Food Co.

In this section, we feature a producer, processor, project or collaboration that we think others could benefit to learn more about.

Do you or someone you know have a creative or collaborative approach that we could spotlight?

Contact Ren Constas at [email protected].

What they're doing

Edlin Choi of Heart & Seoul Food Co. sources bones and fat from local farms and produces delicious Korean-style bone broth and animal-based cooking fats (tallow and lard).

What we love

This is a creative solution supporting whole-animal use and producing high quality products.

Interested in working with Heart & Seoul?

They're looking for a consistent supply of bones and fats to support their expansion.

Farmers -- Want to supply to Edlin? Contact him at [email protected].

Processors -- The company is looking to aggregate at the processor-level (USDA slaughterhouse) in order to reduce the logistical burden placed on farmers. Contact Edlin at [email protected].

How to support

Heart & Seoul is running a campaign with NuMarket.co to fund their mission. They'll give you 120% back in credits with your contribution! That means 120% back to use on their wholesome Korean-style bone broths and nutrient-rich cooking fats after the campaign ends. Contribute to the campaign.

“In other parts of the world older cows are highly valued.

This is such a missed opportunity for dairy farmers in our region, and we want to change that”

What's Making Us Laugh

What did the doctor say to the ham?

You're cured!

Berkshire Agricultural Ventures acknowledges that we live and work on the unceded land of the Mohican, Munsee Lenape, and other Indigenous peoples. We recognize that the United States was built on stolen land and that all systems in this country are built on the stolen labor of Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, and other people of color.
