The Medicine of Love ♥️
“By this all will know that you are My disciples,
if you have LOVE for one another.” John 13:35
“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies,
do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you,
and pray for those who spitefully use you.” Luke 6:27
Do we even know what that means?
It means to be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:18,19
To love everyone we look at! Imagine that! Saints. Sinners. Good guys. Bad guys. People who do you right. People who do you wrong. Friends. Enemies. Relatives. Church members. Those who think differently than you. Democrats. Republicans.
To be long-suffering. To not even be envious or jealous. To want more for others than you want for yourself. To not be proud, haughty or rude. To not seek your own things. Never to consider a suffered wrong. Never to be offended or rejoice in iniquity. To always be kind and rejoice in the truth. To do for others what you would want them to do for yourself. To say about others what you would want them to say about you. And to always forgive.
Yes our self-centeredness is the curse of the entire human race. It’s the curse of the church. It gives birth to every kind of strife and carnality. Sadly, most believers in Christ remain in this carnal state for most of their lives. That is why there is envy, strife and division among us. 1 Corinthians 3:3
The Number one need in the world and the church today is to apply “The Medicine of Love” as exemplified through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ!
Enjoy the nature that draws me so much closer to my Lord and Savior!
