A Note From the President

By Sharon Merchant, CEO & President

I am smiling as I write this because Banff is just a few weeks away. Temperatures vary from the low 40's to the low 70's. I hear the woods beckoning and I smell the fresh mountain air. The trails are calling to me... Back at the office, we are working on public meetings for projects in Lake County, St. Lucie County, Jupiter, the Acreage, and West Palm Beach. Cheryl Scott will make sure that the trains run on time in my absence and Colleen Hackett will continue doing great work identifying new opportunities for us to pursue. These ladies are rock stars! We are passionate about the work we do and are excited to keep expanding our client base.

Lotis Wellington

Lotis Wellington, our cool project with Lotis LLC next to Wellington Regional Hospital, is really coming along nicely. Our job was to identify all stakeholders, provide information, and build support. The remaining role for TMS is to provide monthly updates to the Mayor and Council. They frequently get questions from residents and seasonal visitors eager to know when everything will be open for business. Cooper's Hawk should be ready to open by the end of this year and Lazy Dog by next spring. The other shops and restaurants will be open for business this fall – it won’t be long. Landscaping and residential site work is underway. The medical buildings will be the last to be built. See you out there soon!

City of Atlantis – Florida Department of Environmental Protection Comprehensive Vulnerability Assessment Grant Project

TMS has been selected by the City of Atlantis to provide public outreach services for the Comprehensive Vulnerability Assessment Grant Project. This initiative aims to identify and propose sea-level rise scenarios, planning horizons, and data standards to help the City prepare for future climate impacts. TMS will facilitate two public meetings to engage residents and stakeholders; develop meeting invitations, agendas, sign-in sheets, and comment cards; provide detailed meeting notes and documentation; and assist with logistics and coordination for a public presentation of the final Vulnerability Assessment results to Atlantis City officials. Incorporated in 1959, the City of Atlantis is located on Florida’s east coast, approximately five miles south of West Palm Beach in Palm Beach County. The City covers roughly 1.5 square miles and is primarily a residential community with a population of about 2,400, which increases during the winter season.

Cam’s 2 Cents, by Cameron Merchant

While you are reading this, I will be off having a blast at summer camp! That is where Mom takes me when I can’t tag along on her adventures. They treat me like royalty there and constantly remind me how fabulous I am—in both English and Spanish! I get to hang out with friendly hoomans and playful pups in a huge yard. We run around, splash through sprinklers, swim in the pool, and play until we’re completely worn out. Nap time is one of my favorite parts. After all that running and splashing, I curl up in the shade, dreaming of treats and tennis balls. Sometimes, one of my friends will sit next to me and give me belly rubs until I drift off—pure bliss! Mom drops me off with lots of food and special treats. I get those for good behavior which, let’s be real, I always have. Every evening, we wind down with story time or quiet cuddles, and I fall asleep surrounded by my new best friends. It’s like a doggy vacation resort, and I’m the VIP guest. So, while I’ll be counting the days until I see Mom again, I’ll also be soaking up every fabulous minute here at camp! VIP status: confirmed! That is all for now.
