St. Anthony of Padua Founders Award

Our school annually honors and celebrates an individual, couple or group who has made a significant impact in our school community. This prestigious honor is reserved for those who have been instrumental in the success of our school and our mission to share the Gospel message and the love of Christ with all. Honorees have demonstrated dedication and commitment to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School and our vision. This year's Founders Award will be presented to Meghann & Billy Martin.

We're thrilled to announce that all proceeds from this year's Raise the Paddle will be dedicated to enhancing the safety and security of our campus with the installation of a perimeter fence. Thanks to your incredible support and generous contributions to the Fund for St. Anthony, we've been able to employ Deputy Raymond Shaw full-time, ensuring the protection of our students, families, and staff. The next crucial step in our security initiative is implementing this perimeter fence, strategically designed in collaboration with law enforcement and security experts. 

When looking at things from a safety perspective, all experts consulted share that the priority is securing the perimeter and having a smaller space for supervision. A more contained space allows for an increased level of protection. The fence will begin at the building corner adjacent to the third-grade classrooms, extending past the basketball courts, and running alongside the playground, following the sidewalk to enclose the entire grassy area, including the GaGa pits and picnic tables. Additionally, we will level the greenspace creating a better play and social zone for students. 

Securing this area not only safeguards students from the parking lot but also ensures continued access to outdoor spaces during busy campus events like funerals, food pantry distributions and other special events. Additionally, it bolsters security for students during dismissal and those participating in Beyond the Bell and after-school activities.

Your support on April 6th will help us take this vital step towards ensuring the safety and well-being of our St. Anthony family. Let's raise those paddles high for a brighter, safer future together!

SILENT AUCTION

Our silent auction will open for online bidding this Thursday, March 28! With many amazing items this year, please check them all out!  If you haven't used our Gala website before, please consider pre-registering on the site or text: apschool to 76278. You do not need to be present at the gala to bid in our silent auction - it's all online!

SINGLE BID VS. AUTO-BID: A single bid can be placed as a one-time bid for any amount. An auto-bid can be placed and set at the maximum amount you are willing to spend. With auto-bid, our system will place your bid at the minimum amount needed to lead. When you are outbid, our system will automatically bid for you until your maximum is reached.

WHO WINS? When two bids are placed for the same amount, the bid placed first, based on the timestamp, wins. Timestamps are set when the initial bid is placed, for auto-bids this is when the initial maximum bid was set. TRANSLATION? If you really want an item in our silent auction, consider placing an auto-bid, and place it early!

VARIETY SHOW

• New this year! The Variety Show will take place during the school day, so that our students can showcase their talents to the whole school!
• Open to 20 acts comprised of currently enrolled St. Anthony students.
• Participating students must attend a rehearsal on Monday, May 20 at 4:00-5:30 PM.
• Purchase one (1) spot per ACT please.
