Word from the Pastor
This photo was taken at the Candlelight Vigil in Owasso, in memory of nonbinary student Nex Benedict. Please refer to a recent all-church email with very helpful information to help us all learn more and develop deeper understandings of nonbinary persons!

On another note, as we continue to journey through the season of Lent, the theme this year is, Wandering Heart: Figuring Out Faith With Peter.” In this series, we want to affirm that faith is a constant journey of steadfast pursuit, one that ebbs and flows. We want to affirm that wandering is exploration, not necessarily distance from God. Like many of us, Peter has a wandering heart. His journey is not polished, or linear, or perfect, but he is always tethered to the love of God - and the same is true for us.

May this season of Lent, Holy Week, and Easter be a time of transformation, spiritual growth, renewal, and rebirth for you and for our community of faith.

As I now enter the beginning of my 17th year as your pastor, I want to express my deep gratitude to YOU, this entire community of faith, for not only all the ministry we have done over the years, but also for the grace, encouragement, and support you have extended to me!

We have indeed been richly blessed as a loving, caring, and compassionate congregation.

Blessings, Rev. Todd

CHPC Afghan Support Team

Our Team still needs volunteers for our other Afghan family, the Sakhizada’s-mainly on Thursday afternoons, and possibly Saturday afternoons, to keep their 1 and 3 year olds entertained while parents and older children learn reading, writing and arithmetic with other tutors. If you are willing and able to help with this, please (click name to) contact Debbie Chase, or Tally Ferguson.
What does I-C-E C-R-E-A-M spell? Ice cream! Last week, some of our Afghan Support Team tutors treated the Momand children and their parents to a fun excursion to Braum’s ice cream in celebration of the children’s progress learning the alphabet, spelling, and reading. The children learned how to spell and read the word ice cream and identify it on the store’s marquee.

The best part of the day was simply enjoying each other‘s company - the children talked about their upcoming Valentine’s Day parties, their hobbies, and their favorite ice cream flavors. As the party was leaving, a group of people sitting in the corner stopped Cynthia Fox and Johnna Thurston to comment favorably on the interaction they saw and to say thank you. Just a reminder that you never know who is watching..
The Team is selling Afghan flat bread and Bolani bread (vegetable stuffed Afghan flat bread) in the Fellowship Hall after worship, on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the the month.

The flat bread is $5 and the Bolani is $7. The mother makes the bread fresh every Sunday. 100% of the funds (and any donations) go back to the Momand Family of eight. Please contact Jennifer Campbell at 918.277.9956 for more information.

Checks can be made payable to College Hill and marked "Birthday Fund" on the memo portion of the check.
Flower Chart
Sign Up

If you would like to bring flowers to decorate the sanctuary for an upcoming worship service, please sign up on the Flower Chart on the bulletin board in Fellowship Hall.

There are many open dates available for the new year. Your dedication will also be announced in the worship bulletin.

Flowers can be purchased from any store or brought from home. Please bring them in two containers the morning of the service for which you have signed up.
We have added to our weekly bulletins
and newsletters a new
QR Code
that will take people to the Donation page of our church website. Studies show how important this method of donating has become, especially for younger generations.

The code can be used for "Pledges or General Donations" to our operating budget, or for "Special Donations" which can be designated to occasional special collections taken throughout the year.
