The Pageant Waltz
(to the tune of The Christmas Waltz )

Precious angels sing,
and the shepherds join in
with a sweet refrain that we know
Silent Night and Hark the Herald Angels Sing...
with a star and some sheep.
Its that time of year, when the kids do their part
to make sure we feel in our heart,
All the joy and magic Christmas really brings!

And this pageant time, how we hope to find,
all of you and yours, feel the same way too.
Sunday, December 16th during the
10:00 am service.
Advent & Christmas in Word and Art A Thrill of Hope  is a DVD-based study that presents the familiar story of Christmas as told in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. Each scripture passage is illustrated and interpreted in the stunning artwork of John August Swanson along with commentary by some of America’s premier Biblical scholars. Join us after the 10:00 service on December 9th, 16th, and 23rd as we reflect and prepare for the coming of the Savior.

City Reach - January 4th & 5th

Several members of St. Andrew's will be joining a group from Church Hill United Methodist Church (Norwell) for an overnight at City Reach/Common Cathedral in Boston. This is always a profound learning and moving experience for everyone and we want to support the group in their efforts to connect with the homeless during some of the coldest nights of the winter season.
The group will be bringing sweatshirts, pants, hats, scarves, mittens, underwear, socks, backpacks, and other cold weather necessities with them. Click the link below to see a full list of items needed.

They will also be collecting "Dignity Cards" to bring with them. This is something CHUMC started a few years ago and it has become a vital connection for the homeless. The cards to local Dunkin' , Starbucks, McDonald's, etc allows the bearer to enter a warm store, get a bite to eat, and, most importantly, use the facilities - something they have little access to outside.

Clothing and item donations can be left in the box by the office. Donations for Dignity Cards can be placed in the "Admin Asst" mailbox. Thank you all for your generosity in supporting City Reach and Common Cathedral.

Our friends at Rehoboth House are in need of warm blankets for the winter. There are 15 families residing there and the need is great. We are asking for donations of new (or almost new) blankets that can be left on the stage in the parish hall. All of the beds at Rehoboth House are twin size. During this Holiday season when we have so much to be grateful for, let's make this Christmas a little bit warmer for some families in need.
Thank you,
The Vestry
