In Remembrance...

Please lift up the Scott and Donovan families as they mourn the passing of Sylvia Donovan , Carol Scott's mother. She was a true American hero!
Her full obituary can be read at the link below:

We are also lifting up the family and friends of Bishop Barbara Harris who passed away on March 13th. She was a faithful and altogether irrepressible companion, pastor and inspiration to all in the Diocese of Massachusetts for 31 years.
A letter for Bishop Alan Gates and a link to Bishop Harris' obituary can be found here:
Dear St. Andrew’s Family,
This afternoon the diocese hosted Zoom meetings with clergy about the coronavirus crisis. We discussed our local churches’ responses to feeding and sheltering ministries as well as worship and ministry during this time.
As you know, we are unable to hold any in-person worship during this time of social distancing. However, to paraphrase the Prayer Book, “worship is changed, not ended.” The Holy Eucharist will be live streamed on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. on Facebook Live. You do not need a Facebook account to watch: go to  You can find a PDF of the service on the St. Andrew's website. Sean has graciously offered to come in to provide music for our worship. If we enter a period of sheltering in place, I will offer the Holy Eucharist from home and live stream it.
As I mentioned last Sunday, the weekly gathering of Christians on the first day of the week to break bread, offer prayers, and enjoy fellowship is integral to being a Christian. I understand that this is a heartbreaking decision.
As another way to continue our connection, I will also be reading Compline on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. on Facebook. Please join me if you are able.
The church office will remain closed and Carole and I will be working from home most days. If you have a pastoral need or emergency, please leave a message. We will be checking our messages regularly.
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to help during this time. We will be in touch directly when someone requests assistance.
Your continued support for St. Andrew’s makes it possible for us to meet the most pressings needs of our parish family and community during this crisis. Looking ahead, please mail your pledges directly to the office. We are looking at online giving options and will have more information soon.
I will leave you with this from The Supplication of the Great Litany, for use during “times of war, or of national anxiety, or of disaster.”
From our enemies defend us, O Christ;
Graciously behold our afflictions.
With pity behold the sorrows of our hearts;
Mercifully forgive the sins of thy people.
Favorably with mercy hear our prayers;
O Son of David, have mercy upon us.
Both now and ever vouchsafe to hear us, O Christ;
Graciously hear us, O Christ; graciously hear us, O Lord Christ.
