Cosmos Mural Star Party Workshops - Register By 10/18/2020
Above: Cosmos Mural St. Mark's Infomercial.
REGISTER BEFORE OCTOBER 18,2020

St. Marks is at it again. Yes, another Community Mosaic. This time we are creating our own Cosmic Mosaic Mural! Five pointed stars, non-symmetrical stars, long stars, falling stars, sun stars, 6-point stars, a few comets and nebula and even a satellite are all part of this large mosaic which will be installed next spring. However, we are getting started now—in just four weeks!

Choose the workshop that fits you and your family, friends, partner or just yourself and sign up by October 10 so we can get all the supplies in order. All workshops will be held in the parking lot at tables that allow a bubble group to work together and others to work six feet apart. Wear a facemask and we will provide sanitizing materials. Safety is our priority, followed by fun star making.

To see details of the three different workshops, and which one is right for you and your family by downloading the flyer here.

Make sure to register for a workshop by October 18th: REGISTER HERE.

Note: All individuals who register need to bring their own chair and their own beverage. This is an outside event, so please dress accordingly.
Reminder: Send a Short Video to the Stewardship Team
Want to make a short video for St. Mark's? We are looking for anyone who would like to record a short (approx. 30 seconds) video telling us why St. Marks is important to you. You can say it, sing it, dance it, play a sport with it, or do anything you feel called to do to express how you feel. Some questions to consider are:

  • Why is the community at St. Marks important to you?
  • How has it been a part of your life during the Coronavirus pandemic?
  • What’s the impact St. Marks has had on your life?

Is there something you think of fondly about your life at St. Marks?
You can record your video on your phone, TikTok, Zoom, or another platform you like.
Once it's recorded, please email it to Erin Cook via email. We will use them in our upcoming stewardship campaign. We look forward to hearing from you!
St. Mark's Planned Giving Update
Saint Mark's Vestry and Clergy want to acknowledge and express our thanks to Ed Lazar for his faithful stewardship through a generous bequest he left Saint Mark's in his Last Will and Testament. Ed‘s gift of $15,000 has provided the Vestry the opportunity to bring our Capital Reserve Fund to our target of $25,000. The remainder of Ed‘s bequest has been added to our Capital Fund we maintain to address required capital needs as they arise. We thank Ed for his kind Planned Gift to Saint Mark’s.

Ed Lazar’s planned gift is a good reminder about the importance of making sure your own estate planning is in order and up-to-date. On behalf of the Vestry and Planning Giving ministry of St. Mark’s we hope that you will remember St. Mark’s in your planned giving. If you need assistance or have questions regarding a planned gift, please don’t hesitate to call the church office at 505-262-2484.
Each week, different members of St. Mark's contribute their talents to create music for worship. In case you missed it, or simply want to enjoy it again, just click to view last Sunday's Offertory Song, “Neither Death Nor Life", featuring the artwork and voices of St. Mark’s Kids, and Communion Song, “Bach Cello Suite No.3", featuring UNM student Sam Martinez.
Visit with a St. Mark's Icon: Baptism of Jesus
