Giving, Growing, Grateful in faith 2020 - Week 2
The Apostle Paul tells us that “Each one must give as they have decided in their heart, not under guilt or obligation, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7).

Scripture invites us to prayerfully consider all that we have been given by God, and then to “decide in our hearts” what the Spirit is calling us to give. The spiritual journey is about continually growing in faith and trusting in the Lord to be our strength and our security. The tithe is a goal based on the witness of Scripture. It is not meant as a harsh requirement nor as a source of shame or guilt. It is God’s gracious invitation to join our resources to God’s work in the world as an act of thanksgiving and worship. This year, amid so much uncertainty, our call is to continue to grow through the practices of Giving, Growing and being Grateful in faith.
Remembering the Departed on All Saints Day: A Virtual Ofrenda
On Sunday, November 1st, we will create a "virtual ofrenda" to remember the faithful departed as part of our All Saints Day liturgy. We welcome you to submit your photos of the saints and departed loved ones that you would have us remember in our liturgy.  Please email names and photos of the faithful departed to Mother Sylvia (email her here) no later than Sunday, October 25th for inclusion in our All Saints Day remembrance.
Member Directory (Newly Updated on 10/23/2020)
To continue to strengthen the wondrous relational fabric of our parish, we have moved our directory to an electronic format. We are starting with a downloadable PDF member directory (it is password protected), and may be downloaded below.

Coming up, members will be able to request changes to their information, submit new photos, and be able to see a current listing of the members of St. Mark's with an app on their phone or logging into a website.  If there is an issue with your information, please let the Erin Cook know (email here) and we will get it updated as soon as possible.

When you click on the download link below, the directory file will automatically download to your device, so please take note where your downloads are stored as it may not automatically open. When you attempt to open the PDF file, it will immediately prompt for a password. Click on the link below to see the password - it is case sensitive.

St. Martin's HopeWorks: Breakfast Casserole Preparations
On Saturday morning, November 14th, we will be preparing breakfast casseroles for St. Martin's HopeWorks in St. Mark's kitchen. Thank you to all who have contacted Jo Ann to donate the needed ingredients for the casseroles. We still need 4 large onions, 4 loaves of bread and 2 pounds of ground breakfast sausage for those who would still like to donate. You may also contribute to the HopeWorks fund electronically through PayPal. Or you may send St. Mark's a check and put "For HopeWorks" in the memo line.

Call Jo Ann Swinson at 505-265-3339 or 505-803-6403 if you can donate any of the remaining ingredients or if you would like to help prepare the casseroles.
St. Martin's HopeWorks: Breakfast Items & Servers
St Mark's will be serving breakfast to go in person at HopeWorks on Sunday, November 15th.

We are looking for a few volunteers to help with the serving that Sunday morning from the times of 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. If you wish to help serve, please contact Joan via email here.

We could use some financial support to purchase 3 hams, tortillas, drinks and fresh oranges and the casserole fixings. You may also contribute to the HopeWorks fund electronically through PayPal. Or you may send St. Mark's a check and put "For HopeWorks" in the memo line.
