Giving, Growing, Grateful in Faith
Celebration Sunday November 15th
Stewardship Celebration Sunday, November 15th is almost here.
By now we hope you are aware that next Sunday, November 15th is our Stewardship Celebration Sunday. We know that you have been prayerfully considering your spiritual growth and the ministry of this Church and are ready to join in Celebrating this essential call of our Christian Life. This week you will receive an Estimate of Giving Card and Celebration Sunday information packet in the mail (If you don’t receive our mailing, please call the church office (505) 262-2484 and let us know your correct mailing address). We ask that, at the appropriate time during worship on Sunday, November 15th, you fill out and place your Estimate of Giving Card in your outgoing mail or drive to the church between 11am and Noon to be part of our Pandemic of Giving Parade where you can place your own Estimate of Giving Card in the large gift box in our east parking lot. We will be reporting back on our common commitment to growth in giving on Sunday, November 22!

Get a piece of pie and a warm drink. Cuddle up with a pet, a loved one, a fire, or a cozy blanket. Light a candle. And join us for an informal time of thanksgiving, prayer, and fellowship!
(You are welcome to remain in the “Zoom Room” following our service of Evening Prayer, for further fellowship. Feel free to bring a favorite reading, joke, game, song, or story to share!)
In-Person Worship at St. Mark's
Throughout November we plan to continue offering three opportunities for in-person worship each week at St. Mark's:
  1. Sunday Eucharist at 3 p.m. in the Fish Garden
  2. Wednesday Evening Prayer at 6 p.m. in the Nave
  3. Thursday Eucharist at 11 a.m. in the Fish Courtyard.
Space for in-person worship is limited, so please register in advance using the links found at:

In case of very cold weather, we may move outdoor services to the Nave. If for any reason we need to cancel in-person worship, we will notify those who have registered in advance for the service.

In order to continue offering in-person worship at St. Mark's we require the help of "worship hosts" for each service.  "Hosting" for our small in-person services is not difficult. It is mainly a matter of taking temperatures and checking people in as they arrive, and helping with clean up following the service.  Please sign up here if you are available to serve as worship host for one or more of our in-person worship services at St. Mark's.
Christmas Conversation at Coffee Hour, This Sunday, November 8th
Join us for coffee hour on Zoom following worship this Sunday at 11:00 a.m. to begin dreaming about how we will work together to create our Christmas Celebration at St. Mark's this year. This year, more than ever, we will need the creativity, talent, presence, and participation of all our many members (young and old, near and far) to celebrate Christmas at St. Mark's in ways that are safe, connective/relational, beautiful, and meaningful despite the various constraints the pandemic places on us. What gifts are you most longing to receive from St. Mark's community/worship this Christmastide? And what gifts are you most longing to contribute to St. Mark's community/worship this Christmas? Join us as we share our hopes and listen together for what the Spirit is longing to birth in and among us at St. Mark's this Christmas!

Preparing for Advent with Anglican Prayer Beads & Song
St. Mark's Anglican Rosary Prayer Group meets every Tuesday at 10 a.m. on Zoom to pray together. All are welcome! Participants take turns leading the group in prayers of their choosing. For the next 7 weeks we will include several prayers based on the seven O Antiphons. In these prayers we pray for the coming of Christ among us in various forms: as Wisdom, as Deliverer, as God with us. This week, we pray for Christ's coming as Wisdom. Even if you can't join us on Tuesdays, you may use this video link to join us in praying the O Wisdom prayer cycle at any time throughout the week.
Last Sunday's Communion Song: Swing Low
Each week, different members of St. Mark's contribute their talents to create music for worship. In case you missed it, or simply want to enjoy it again, click here to view last Sunday's Communion Song, featuring St. Mark’s singing saints, both young (ages 3-8) and old (age 94)!
Daily Devotions Online from St. Mark's Youth
Daily practice is necessary to grow as a musician or athlete.  Daily practice is likewise necessary to grow as a Christian.  This year, when we can’t gather in person for weekly worship and Sunday School, it is more important than ever to develop daily practices to help build a strong, healthy spiritual life at home. To help you develop a daily faith practice at home, St. Mark’s is creating a series of short daily videos with stories and songs to help you grow spiritually strong, which you will find at online here. Our November devotions feature several youth from St. Mark's reading aloud from the Children's Storybook Bible, edited by Archbishop Desmond Tutu. This is a great opportunity for adults and children alike to revisit (or encounter for the first time) the central stories of the Hebrew Scriptures.
St. Martin's HopeWorks: Breakfast Casserole Preparations
This is a reminder that we will be preparing the breakfast casseroles for St. Martin's Hopeworks on Saturday morning, November 14th, in St. Mark's kitchen. Thank you to all who have called to donate the needed ingredients for the casseroles. Call Jo Ann Swinson at 505-265-3339 or 505-803-6403 to arrange to meet Jo Ann at St. Mark's to bring your donations.  All donations need to be at the church by Friday, November 13th. If you would like to help with preparations of the casseroles, please contact Jo Ann for details.

You may also contribute to the HopeWorks fund electronically through PayPal.
St. Martin's HopeWorks: Breakfast Items & Servers
St Mark's will be serving breakfast to go in person at HopeWorks on Sunday, November 15th.

We are looking for a few volunteers to help with the serving that Sunday morning from the times of 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. If you wish to help serve, please contact Joan via email here.

We could use some financial support to purchase 3 hams, tortillas, drinks and fresh oranges and the casserole fixings. You may also contribute to the HopeWorks fund electronically through PayPal. Or you may send St. Mark's a check and put "For HopeWorks" in the memo line.
All are welcome to give and/or pledge to St. Mark's by mail (St. Mark's has a secure mailbox and is checked regularly): 431 Richmond Place NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106
