We are busily recording music for St. Mark's Lent, Holy Week and Easter Services! Singers of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Visit this website for this week's recording assignments (including links to all sheet music and audio guide recordings.) All singers are welcome (but not required) to join Jeremy on Sundays from 11AM-12PM on Zoom for a virtual "choir rehearsal"--a chance to warm up together and begin to familiarize ourselves with the recording projects for the coming week. (Attendance at Sunday gatherings is NOT required in order to participate in recordings.)

When Rachel Held Evans found herself asking these questions, she began a quest to better understand what the Bible is and how it is meant to be read. What she discovered changed her--and it will change you too.

This Lent, join the Miller-Mutia Family for Dinnertime Devotions on Mondays and Wednesday Nights from 5:30-6:00 p.m. We'll meet in Mother Sylvia's Zoom Room (Meeting ID 510 932 1315) at 5:30 p.m. to sing grace and share "highs and lows" from the day. Then, over dinner, we'll read the Lent Madness bios of the Saints for the Day and discuss which saint(s) will be getting our votes! Drop ins are always welcome, but if possible, we'd love you to RSVP so we know to expect you! RSVP here.

Lenten Book Group and Meditations on the Wonder of Creation
Tuesdays 10 a.m. and/or 7 p.m. Zoom (1-hour sessions)

We have pre-ordered 21 copies at $15.00/each ($4 cost savings for the purchaser), so please let us know if you need one or plan to order your own from Paraclete Press. We still have plenty of books, so please email Fr. Christopher to arrange getting a book.

Wednesdays: Praying the Stations of the Cross |
|
Many people find it meaningful to pray the Stations of the Cross in Lent. You are welcome to come pray the Stations of the Cross (or simply sit in silence) in the Nave during Lent on Wednesdays, anytime between 11AM-2PM (ring the doorbell for entry). You may also pray the Stations from home using the images and audio files found here.
Also, on Wednesdays during Lent, between 12-1, we will have Meditation Hour. All are welcome to come and do stations of the cross at any time, but this hour will additionally offer quiet meditation with periodic flute sounds.
Anyone is welcome to schedule an appointment to do Stations of the Cross outside of the Wednesday hours by calling the office Monday-Thursday, 9-2: (505) 262-2484.

Younger Children and Families: You can click the Gray Story Title following each date on the calendar below to link to videos of St. Mark’s members telling/reading abridged versions of each bible story for children. (Most of these retellings come from: Bible Stories for the 40 Days, by Melissa Musick Nussbaum, Illustrations by Judy Jarrett. If you enjoy these stories and illustrations, we encourage you to buy a hard copy of the book for yourself).
Older Youth & Adults: You may click the Blue Scripture Reference on the calendar below to read the more complete story in the biblical text for yourself.

Christian Vocations 101
Thursdays, 6-7:30PM on Zoom (2/25-3/25)
Join members of the Commission on the Ministry of the Baptized in the Diocese of the Rio Grande Mother Sylvia (St. Mark's) and Mark Childress (Holy Faith, Santa Fe) for a 5-week introduction to the theology of vocation and an exploration of the various "orders of ministry" in the Episcopal Church. What does it mean to be a bishop? a priest? a deacon? a baptized member in the Episcopal Church? How do the vows made by people in each of these orders of ministry offer a lens through which we might see God's call to each one of us more clearly? RSVP to Mary Jewell via email for Zoom Link.
