Upcoming Book Study
glasses_on_book.jpg
Laurus , by Eugene Vodolazkin , is the story of a young man in fifteenth-century Russia, a healer of seemingly supernatural ability who undertakes a pilgrimage through plague-ridden Europe and eventually to Jerusalem.

If you are interested in participating in this study, please make sure you have a book (e-book versions are perfectly acceptable). A few copies of this book will be left on the outside benches where we have been lending out hymnals and BCPs, but please only take one if you intend to participate in this class and are not able to find a copy on your own. Also, please RSVP to the class.

This book study will start on Sunday, April 26 at 2 p.m. via Zoom ( link to Zoom meeting ) and go for five sessions. Before the first meeting on Sunday the 26th, please read the following: Translator's introduction, Prolegomenon and The Book of Cognition.

Reading Schedule/Class Syllabus (to be read prior to class):

April 26 - Introductions; discuss Prolegomenon and The Book of Cognition
May 3 - Discuss The Book of Renunciation
May 10 - Discuss The Book of Journeys
May 17 - Discuss The Book of Repose
May 24 - Concluding discussions and reflections
East Central Ministries Urban Farm Plant Sale
St. Mark’s Montessori School is sad to say that this year we have canceled our annual plant sale fundraiser due to COVID-19. The good news is that the beautiful flowers and plants that you love to grow each year are still available for purchase. East Central Ministries/Urban Farms who we have partnered with for many years are selling plants and ollas at their greenhouse. The sale is outside and they are spacing people apart. Check out their website for a listing of products (see below):

Location & Time: 123 Vermont NE, Fridays 12pm - 4pm, and Saturdays 9am - 1pm.
