SAINT MARK'S MISSION & OUTREACH
Masks Available at St. Mark's
Cloth masks are available free-of-charge outside the west-entrance doors to the narthex. You can pick up what you need any time.

David Hardy’s brother, Michael, owns a read-to-wear clothing manufacturing company. During the pandemic the company is making masks with their leftover fabrics. He was graciously donated many masks to St. Mark’s.
Help Keep Our Grounds Weed-Free
We're trying hard to keep up, but it's a challenge in the best of times to keep up with Spring Weeds at St. Mark's. If you could spare some time to help us keep our grounds looking sharp, please do the following:

  1. Call Leo: 505-506-0690 to schedule a time that works (and that isn't already taken by someone else).
  2. Bring a mask, some weeding tools, gloves, water and sunscreen.
  3. Thank you so much!
A Visit with Poet Mary Oliver
woman_hammock_reading.jpg
Offered on Zoom. Four Wednesdays. Two choices.
May 6, 13, 20 & 27 -- 11 a.m. or 7 p.m.
Facilitated by : Don DeNoon with technical support from Fr. Christopher.

Description : Join us on Zoom and expect to be thoroughly engaged with "selected" poems and essays of Mary Oliver which will make you feel like, "She is speaking directly to me." The class will, of course, be interactive in order to allow each person (as time permits) an opportunity to join in the discussion. An hour will be the time frame for each session.

The class on Mary Oliver will be offered on Wednesdays in May at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. for two reasons. First, if you are available in the mornings, please take part on Zoom then. Second, if unavailable in the mornings, you can plan to be a part of an identical class presentation that evening. Please sign up here and let us know you intend on coming.

As you get ready to join the class on Zoom, why not place near you some reminders of precious things? Mary Oliver won't mind. For example, Don DeNoon will have on his table a copy of the St. Mark's pictorial directory to remind him of the "family" we are together. He will also have personal family photos; and of course he will have a special picture of his dog, Bert, who provided Don joy-filled companionship for 10 years. Mary Oliver loved dogs, too, you know.
East Central Ministry has Plants for Sale
St. Mark’s Montessori School is sad to say this year we have canceled our annual plant sale fundraiser due to COVID-19. The good news is that the beautiful flowers and plants that you love to grow each year are still available for purchase. East Central Ministries/Urban Farms who we have partnered with for many years are selling plants and ollas at their greenhouse.

**Please call ahead or online to order your plants and you can pick them up curbside.   **
