Rosary for Resurrection & Remembrance
Monday, June 21st, 7:00 p.m.
In person in St. Mark's Library AND virtually via Zoom
Zoom Meeting ID: 510-932-1315

As we move through seasons in the natural world, so too we move through seasons of remembrance after the death of a loved one. At least four times each year, St. Mark’s hosts a seasonal gathering for everyone who wishes to gather and share prayers and memories of departed loved ones. Please join us on Monday, June 21st, in-person at St. Mark's or online via Zoom for our Summertime Rosary for Remembrance. Feel free to bring a photo or memory to share. All are welcome. For more information or to RSVP, contact Sylvia+ via email.
Summer (Bible) Reading Challenge
woman_hammock_reading.jpg
Join us for our summer bible reading challenge. Read 55 core bible stories (in-part or in-whole) between now and September. You can enjoy hearing the youth of St. Mark's reading simplified versions of each story from the Children of God Storybook Bible online, and/or tackle the complete biblical text yourself! For more details, bible story links, and link to sign up, click here. Many Thanks to St. Mark's youth: Sadie, Johanna, Jonah, Angel, Graciela, Eli, Eric, and Lucia for contributing their read-aloud talents for this project!
Summer Conversations with St. Mark's Clergy
Please call to sign up now!

We are eager to hear how the Spirit is moving in your life, and we are honored to discern how we can bless and support you in this season of change and transition. As a clergy team, our (admittedly ambitious) goal is to meet with all members of St. Mark's at least once this summer.

Please help us achieve our goal by calling the church office
Monday-Thursday, 9AM-1PM at 505-262-2484 to set up your summer meeting
with one of St. Mark's Clergy as soon as possible.

Children and youth, as well as adults; visitors and newcomers, as well as longtime members; geographically distant as well as local members: Everyone is encouraged to make an appointment! Just let us know what days/times are most convenient for you and if you would prefer an "in person", phone, or zoom appointment.  Our Parish Administrator, Jennifer Lind, will be glad to assist you in scheduling your meeting, then the clergy will contact you to confirm details (including location for "in person" meetings) the week of your appointment.

Thank you for helping St. Mark's continue to grow as a robust, healthy, spiritually connected community, by reaching out to make your appointment with a member of St. Mark's clergy today!
Memorial Service for The Reverend Paul Eric Strid

May 8, 1946 - April 28, 2021
St. Mark’s Episcopal Church 431 Richmond NE, Albuquerque, NM
Sunday, June 27, 2021, 2:00 p.m.

As many of you know, Father Paul passed away after a long battle with leukemia. He left this earth peacefully to join his family and friends who had gone before him.

As you might imagine, Paul wrote down everything he wanted included in his funeral/memorial service, right down to the page numbers in the BCP and hymnal. We will attempt to follow his wishes in every way possible.

Please plan to join us to celebrate Paul’s incredibly diverse and eclectic life knowing he is now happily and excitedly sharing his knowledge and abilities with everyone he meets.

Please note: Effective June 20th, St. Mark’s will be open for in-person worship. Masks, and social distancing - when possible, will be required. Registration / Check-in for contact tracing is still in effect and you may save time by pre-registering here for the funeral.

The Memorial Service will also be available on Zoom and Facebook Live, links can be found on the St. Mark’s website here.
Art for Hybrid Worship - Fundraiser
This art gallery fundraiser will close on August 1st, 2021.

We have set up an online art gallery that is comprised of stunning artwork created by the loving hands of parishioners of St. Mark's. If a particular piece catches your eye, please call our office at 505-262-2484 for instructions on how make your donation and to take home the artwork. Anyone feeling moved to help contribute the fund may do so at any time by submitting a check to St. Mark's with "Hybrid Worship Fund" in the memo line, or by specifying "Technology/Hybrid Worship" from the Use this donation for dropdown in PayPal.

Keep checking the gallery - we just added 20 more pieces!
Call to Artists of St. Mark's
oil-paint-mess.jpg
We are planning our quarterly art exhibitions in the Sacred Arts space beginning in September. The walls of the Parish Hall's Sacred Arts Gallery have been blank for over a year. As we emerge from the pandemic, it will be good to see the loveliness of art adorning the gallery again. Please consider submitting up to three pieces. There is no theme, however, we’d like to see plenty of vibrant color.

You may e-mail Audrey Minard (email here) with your information, questions or to request a form.
Deadline is Friday, August 27.
