Summer of Conversation Virtual Training #2
Thursday, August, 13, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

One of the core values of St. Mark’s is to be a deeply relational church. One of the ways we make this possible in the life of the community of St. Mark’s is to become more intentional about building relationships and listening more deeply to one another. To this end, we have begun  A Summer of Conversation at St. Mark’s.  The concept is simple: Encourage conversations among our members that help people get to know one another, talk about why St. Marks’ is important to them and to get a sense for where they sense God at work in them and the congregation.

In this time of Covid-19 our training will be a bit different and our methods of having conversations may change a bit as well but we want to stay connected, develop deep relationships and discover together where God is at work in our faith community through listening to one another. Whether you have previously been trained, have not been trained but want to be part of this summer effort, or are just curious you are welcome to the training and preparation for this  Summer of Conversation .

This training is open to all. Please sign up here to attend the training .

Wednesday In-Person Prayer and Mediation Hour w/ Music and Silence
Next Week, St. Mark’s will again offer an opportunity for Prayer and Mediation in the Nave of our building on Wednesday Evening, August 5, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. There will be instrumental music for part of the time, and silence for other part of the hour. At the end of the hour, the Lord’s Prayer will be said together as the tower bell is rung.

This is a quiet and simple offering, a place to pray and meditate and an opportunity to once again be inside our prayer-soaked worship space at St. Mark’s. During this COVID-19 period all in-person worship and prayer opportunities will be managed with a reservation system so that we know who is coming and have assigned seating prior to arrival when possible. All who are participating will be asked to wear a face covering, to observe social distancing guidelines, and to make sure that they are signed-in and that we have proper information. We ask that socializing on church grounds be done in the safest way possible with masks and proper distancing so that we can endeavour to keep our congregation safe and healthy.

To register for Wednesday Prayer and Meditation on August 5 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m., please sign-up using our Reservation System .
