For your thought:
Put away from you all bitterness and wrath and anger and wrangling and slander, together with all malice, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.

SAINT MARK'S MISSION & OUTREACH

Hybrid Worship Technology Upgrade
A letter to the parish was sent out on Monday that said, in part:
"At their June meeting, the Vestry of St. Mark’s made the important decision to allocate up to $50,000 from capital funds toward the St. Mark’s Hybrid Worship Project. from the practical standpoint, St. Mark’s badly needed a sound upgrade as our PA system was failing. From the perspective of our mission, we want to strengthen St. Mark’s capacity to reach beyond the walls of our church with the message of God’s transforming love and forgiveness. This project brings upgrades to both our Sound System and our Video Streaming capacities. The Vestry and Clergy recognize that virtual worship has been a lifeline to our growing community—both those who live in other places and the more “local” members who are shut-in, ill or unable to attend in-person for any reason. Over the last months, hybrid worship has helped bereaved family members and friends across the country when St. Mark’s hosted funeral services for their loved ones. The Hybrid Worship Project will support continued involvement from those online serving as readers, offering prayers, delivering eulogies, providing video testimonies and more..."

Cosmos Mosaic Mural Fundraiser
St. Mark's Montessori School and Church are collaborating with artists Manuel Hernandez and Lisa Domenici to create a second beautiful mosaic. This "Cosmos Mosaic Mural" will help foster a stronger community within St. Mark’s, whilst creating a stunning piece of art that will go up near the school’s playground. This location will make it so the whole neighborhood can enjoy this artwork. This project began just days before the school closed in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and continued in its planning stages until spring of this year. Like everything else these days this project needed to be flexible in its planning, hosting of events, and fundraising. Partial funding for this project has come from a generous gift from the Sacred Arts Guild, as well as individual contributions and school capital funds.
Want to join in making a difference? We're raising money to benefit Saint Mark's Montessori School & Church - Cosmos Mosaic Mural, and any gift will help make an impact in creating this beautiful mosaic. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause, which means so much to the entire St. Mark’s Community.

Call to Artists of St. Mark's
We are planning our quarterly art exhibitions in the Sacred Arts space beginning in September. The walls of the Parish Hall's Sacred Arts Gallery have been blank for over a year. As we emerge from the pandemic, it will be good to see the loveliness of art adorning the gallery again. Please consider submitting up to three pieces. There is no theme, however, we’d like to see plenty of vibrant color.
You may e-mail Audrey Minard (email here) with your information, questions or to request a form.
Deadline is Friday, August 27.
