With the temperatures dropping and the foliage changing to brilliant reds and yellows, I am reminded we are in the season of giving. We live in a county of neighbors where we are always willing to lend a hand. Here in the county government, I am proud of the work our Local 459 is doing in hosting their own Thanksgiving Dinner Drive.
I am also proud of our County paramedics and academy class, who come together to support the Emmanuel Dining Room. Later this month, I will take part in DART's "Stuff the Bus" Campaign and join Norman Oliver, Multiplying Good and other community partners on the 37th annual statewide Turkey Drive, collaborating to share the joy of this holiday season.
This truly is the season of giving, and I encourage you to find your way to be involved in helping your neighbors.
