What a fantastic week of club visits! I started with the Rotary Club of Crescent City, attending their annual Swine and Wine event, a wonderful fundraiser that truly benefits the local community and brings Rotarians together in fellowship. I was thrilled to see the Rotary Clubs of Palatka Sunrise, Palatka Noon, and Interlachen also represented.
Next came two great breakfast meetings with the Rotary Clubs of Fleming Island and East Arlington. A consistent theme across all these visits: new members joining, strong community engagement, and lots of positive energy. I had an absolute blast with each club I visited!
During one visit, we discussed a simple but powerful acronym: KLT — Know, Like, and Trust.
When considering new members, we often start with those we know, like, and trust. While that’s not the only measure, it’s a great foundation for building strong, lasting clubs.
Yes, Rotary talks about membership often, but numbers alone aren’t the goal. The real question is: Are the needs for service being met through your members? Is your club experience inviting, fun, and meaningful? Do visitors leave saying, “I can’t wait to come back”?
Many of our clubs live this out every day, showing that our members are the heartbeat of Rotary. Because the truth is, Rotary isn’t greater than the sum of its parts. It is its parts, you, the members, the clubs, the people who make things happen.
Without you, there’s no polio eradication, no clean water projects, no community transformation. The world needs what we deliver: peace, hope, and friendship through service.
Let’s continue to Unite for Good—now more than ever.
And don’t forget: World Polio Day is October 24, 2025!
Have a great Rotary week, friends! 💙🌀
