The Minutarian Moement

March 29, 2026 | Issue 31

I would love for you to join me at the 2026 District Conference… Homecoming!

I picked Jacksonville on purpose. It is where Rotary in Florida began, so what better place to come together, reconnect, and celebrate everything that makes Rotary special? We will gather May 15–16, 2026, at the Marriott Downtown Jacksonville, the home of District 6970’s very first Rotary Club.

This is going to be a fun, high-energy weekend focused on:

-Reconnecting with friends and making new ones

-Celebrating the incredible impact our clubs are making

-Sharing stories, ideas, and inspiration for what is next

-Recharging your Rotary spirit

We also have a great lineup of speakers, including Rotary International Director Elect Marshall Butler, The Rotary Foundation Trustee Elect Cynde Covington, keynote speaker Milton Hunt, Crystal Mohammed, and Gregor Baum.

Most importantly, this is your time to relax, laugh, and enjoy being part of Rotary. Bring your fellow Rotarians, your partner, and anyone who loves what Rotary stands for. You will leave energized, inspired, and proud of the difference we make together.

Make your plans and register. I cannot wait to see you in Jacksonville for Homecoming!

#WomenInRotary

Thank you to all of the incredible women in our district who participated in our #WomenInRotary social media challenge in honor of Women’s History Month. Women were officially welcomed into Rotary in 1989, and today they are essential to Rotary’s mission, vision, and values.

We would also like to recognize our past women District Governors:

2005–2006 – Shann Purinton, RC Palatka

2010–2011 – Cynde Covington, RC Southpoint

2018–2019 – Jeanette Loftus, RC Flagler County

Thank you for your service and for paving the way for future women leaders in Rotary.

If any individuals were not included, it is due to the unavailability of photos.
