Set Your Goals For A Club Excellence Award!
As I’ve traveled the district visiting clubs, one question I’ve often heard is “What’s up with the Rotary Citation for 2024-25?” To clarify, and make sure every club can work toward their own recognition of excellence, we are repeating this earlier article.
The Club Excellence Award is the new name for the Rotary Citation. The award recognizes the hard work Rotary, Rotaract, and Interact clubs do to achieve goals aligned with Rotary’s action plan. Established in 1992, the award has undergone some changes over the years to remain relevant and to continue to align with Rotary’s strategic objectives.
Your club can earn a Club Excellence award for achieving goals that strengthen Rotary and your club . . . including engaging members in sustainable service projects, building awareness of Rotary in your community, increasing club membership, giving to The Rotary Foundation, and having an up-to-date strategic plan.
Club leaders can go into Rotary Club Central and select the goals they wish to apply toward the club’s excellence achievement. This flexibility allows each club to choose the goals that are most relevant and achievable for them. Clubs work on their goals throughout the year and report their achievements by June 30th to be eligible for the award.
Find more information on the Club Excellence awards on My Rotary > Awards & Participation, and check out your club details on My Rotary > Rotary Club Central.
