THE MINUTARIAN

April 6, 2025 | Issue 38

Rotary shares an interest in protecting our common legacy: the environment. We are committed to supporting activities that enhance the conservation of natural resources and advance ecological sustainability. We empower communities to access grants, embrace local solutions, and spur innovation to address the causes and reduce the effects of climate change and environmental degradation.

Rotary members are tackling environmental issues the way they always do: coming up with projects, using their connections to change policy and planning for the future. And The Rotary Foundation is ready to help with initiatives that include:

  • Protecting and restoring land, coastal, marine, and freshwater resources
  • Enhancing the capacity of communities to support natural resource management and conservation
  • Supporting sustainable agriculture, fishing, and aquaculture practices
  • Providing re-forestation for areas decimated by disease or wildfires
  • Supporting education that promotes behavior that protects the environment

When your club is seeking new service project ideas, consider protecting and enhancing our environment!
