THE MINUTARIAN

Mid-Year Planning

Well that went fast!

Here we are half-way through the Rotary year. I'm so excited and impressed with all of our amazing clubs and Rotarians. You are making a difference in your communities and helping to "Create Hope in the World."

This time of year it is important to be mindful of a number of club governance issues.

Mid-year dues billing is coming Jan. 2 from Rotary International and the District. Please review your club rosters to make sure that your membership info is current and complete. Dues are based on your Dec. 31 info and the assessments are final.

All clubs should be finalizing their Officer appointments for 2024-25. Please update this info in DacDB or in Rotary.org.

All President Elects should be registered for President-Elect Training Seminar in Orlando (Mar. 1-3, 2024). This training is mandatory and any issues should be discussed with DGE Mickey ASAP.

This is the perfect time to update your goals and progress towards the Rotary Citation for your club.

Finally, the second half of the Rotary year is when clubs focus on completing our planned events, fundraisers and Grant projects. It is also when we participate in training and preparation for the next Rotary year.

I encourage you to attend the District Membership Summit and RLI in January, and the Grant Training Sessions (info below) in the Spring.

Finally, please make plans to attend the District Training Assembly and Conference in May. The Training Team and Conference Committee have put together a great program of sessions that will educate and inspire.

Until next week, (Last Minutarian of the Year!)

Save the Date for District Grant Training

Is your club thinking about submitting a grant for a project in the Rotary year of 2024-2025?

This is Required Training to submit a grant for approval for the 2024-2025 Rotary Year.

A minimum of two people from each club are required to attend this training in order to qualify for a District Grant in the 2024-2025 Rotary Year.

This 90 minute session will be hands-on, virtual training (Zoom), with one of two sessions to choose from for your convenience. Attendees should be the actual people entering and/or approving the grant. Please no seat warmers, we really want to provide training that is beneficial to all. Please send people that will be doing the actual work so that we can get the best possible grant submission for the SHARE committee to review.

Please be logged into DacDB and ready to submit a real or test grant. Grant submittals (test project or real grant submission) will be used to complete the attendance rooster.
