District Awards Nominations Open

I invite you to show your pride and respect for active members of District 6970 who you know have and still go above and beyond with continued leadership in Rotary and in their community. Nominate them for one of our District’s highest honors!

The Al Watson “Quiet Hero” Memorial Award

created to honor a member of District 6970 who has demonstrated for years the values of Rotary and community engagement, and lives their life by the same steadfast principles as Rotarian Al Watson through constantly striving to create a better future. This award recognizes a Rotarian who has worked quietly and out of the spotlight; someone who helps build their community; someone who does this work with joy, year after year!

The D. Brent Williams “Spirit of Rotary” Award

created to honor a member of District 6970 who has exemplified the true spirit of Rotary service and leadership over a significant period of time -- a Rotarian who lives their life by the same energized principles as Rotarian Brent Williams through passion, commitment and service. It recognizes a Rotarian who has demonstrated extraordinary service and leadership in at least two of Rotary’s Avenues of Service; someone who leads by example; someone who lives for service with no personal reward!

Nominations for both awards are open now with award histories, qualifications, and instructions for submitting found on the District website.
