District and Global Grants

Rotary members contribute their skills, expertise, and resources to help solve some of the world's toughest problems. From providing clean water to promoting peace worldwide, Rotary Foundation grants bring service projects to life.


District grants fund small-scale, short-term activities that address needs in your community and communities abroad.


Global grants support large international activities with sustainable, measurable outcomes in Rotary's areas of focus.


Disaster response grants support relief and recovery efforts in areas that have been affected by natural disaster.


Programs of scale grants fund intentional effort by Rotary members, in partnership with others, to expand proven program models within our areas of focus in order to benefit more people and in more places an foster lasting change.


In the 2021-22 Grant cycle, the following were awarded:


478 District Grants totaling $27million

207 Disaster Response Grants totaling $8million

1,199 Global Grants totaling $73million

1 Program of Scale Grant totaling $2million


In the past Rotary year District 6970 donated nearly $900,000 combined to the Rotary Foundation in all categories. You can all take pride in the fact that our District ranks consistently in the Top 10 of all Districts Rotary-wide in terms of overall giving.

Rotary Club of Southeast Volusia Golf

Congratulations to the newest club in District 6970. Chartered on November 1, 2023 as Rotary Club No. 225708, this club initially started as a Satellite of RC New Smyrna Beach. Current and former Rotarians came together and quickly reached a total of 25 Charter Members to form a new club. The new club begins under the leadership of Charter President Bill Glennon. Past Assistant Governor Charles Miller and his wife, Rotarian Connie played a key role in guiding the new club through the chartering process.


The club will be based at Hidden Lakes Golf Club in New Smyrna Beach.


A Chartering Celebration will take place on Dec. 3, 1pm at Hidden Lakes Golf Club.
