Prime Property | NY | Upper West Side
Need that second bedroom?  222 Riverside Drive 4C.

This gracious two-bedroom home showcases generous dimensions, bright, southern exposures and a view of Riverside Park. The layout lends itself to tranquil entertaining and living, with an inviting entry foyer, a spacious living room with three windows and a separate dining area. The two bedrooms, located on either side of the expansive living room, can each fit a queen-sized bed, and each adjoins its own marble-clad bath with tub. Storage options abound with four closets, built-ins, a pantry and extensive kitchen cabinetry. Stainless-steel appliances and an in-home washer and dryer make for convenient and contemporary living.

Prime Property | DC | Adams Morgan - Mount Pleasant
Built in 2005, Delancey Lofts features 14-foot ceilings and exposed brick and ductwork. This contemporary two-bedroom, two-bath home underwent a total kitchen remodel in 2017 with designer cabinetry, a herringbone glass tile backsplash, stainless appliances, a peninsula with granite countertops, a deep, undermount sink and bar seating for four. The unique textures are highlighted by neutral gray walls, gray hardwood floors and two levels of living. The large industrial window wall, original to the structure, lets in great light. One garage parking space is included, and the condominium offers its residents a rooftop terrace with soon-to-be-added gas grills.

One block from Meridien Hill Park and a short journey to Rock Creek Park, Delancey Lofts is served by Harris Teeter and Safeway and the heart of Adams Morgan dining and nightlife, including Mintwood Place, Tail Up Goat and Roofers Union.

"I sustain myself with the love of family."  --Maya Angelou (1928-2014)
During challenging times, we turn to our families for love, mutual support and often a sense of humor and perspective. Within our communities, we find family-owned businesses that treat their customers like family. Here are two gourmet grocery stores that are providing curbside pick up or home delivery until their extended family--their customers--can return again to shop in person.
DC | Chevy Chase - Silver Spring - Kensington | Rodman's

Rodman's is a Washington Institution, the area's original discounter of nationally branded products, family owned and operated since 1955. Rodman's has been anointed by  The Washington Post  as "The Weirdest Little Drugstore In Washington." Some of the great names in Washington retailing have gone by the wayside, but Rodman's has persevered and continues to offer great value.  Over the years, the Rodman's corner drugstore has evolved into an international marketplace filled with unusual and exotic foods, an incredible selection of beer and wines, housewares, and the finest European soaps and body care products, just to name a few.
NY | Greenwich Village and Upper East Side | Agata and Valentina

Agata and Valentina is a family-owned and operated specialty food business and New York institution established on the Upper East Side in 1993. A second location opened in Greenwich Village in 2012. Their business was born of a passion for fine foods from Sicily, Italy and around the globe, which drives their desire to share the absolute highest quality products and authentic hand-made prepared foods and pastries with their customers. With a collective 150 years of experience, they bring a spirit of hands-on innovation and excitement as well as tradition to every aspect of the business.

DC | Armchair Food and Wine Tour | Cafe of India

From Vindu Goel in The New York Times, during his tour of India's wineries:  "Nashik's lack of a tourist-industrial complex is part of its charm. During our three-day excursion, we tasted wines with the people who made them, explored caves full of ancient Buddhist carvings and ate a lovely lunch while gazing across grapevines to a sun-dappled lake. We even found some delightful wines."
Washington, DC's Cafe of India proudly serves wines from India's Grover Zampa Vineyards to complement its authentic and traditional Indian regional cuisine.
NY | Armchair Food and Wine Tour | Chama Mama - A Taste of Georgia

Chama Mama -- Classic Georgian cuisine with a modern spin -- offers three key ingredients that help lay the foundation for Georgian cuisine and Chama Mama as a restaurant -- the Tone, khachapuri, and the qvevri!

Georgia has traditionally produced wine in Qveri's or ancient clay pots for over 8,000 years.  The Qvevri is egg-shaped, and is used for making, aging and storing wine.  The extensive list at Chama Mama is full of natural and organic Georgian wines.
