Prime Property | NY | Fifth Avenue on Central Park

Spectacular Central Park views from four exposures in this generous Fifth Avenue residence with two expansive suites, over nine-foot ceilings and a wood-burning fireplace with travertine surround. Uninterrupted views of Central Park from the reception foyer through to the open living and dining room with its herringbone hardwood flooring, crown molding and versatile layout.

Built by noted architect Rosario Candela in 1948, One East 66th Street has a three-story rusticated limestone base, limestone band courses between the windows on the fourth floor and a building entrance with a polished red granite surround and a stainless steel canopy. One of the first Mid-Century residential buildings constructed on Fifth Avenue, One East 66th Street is also one of the rare remaining New York City apartment houses to provide both a private dining room and in-residence catering. Residents enjoy a windowed fitness center with NordicTrack, Peloton and separate weight and stretching rooms, the services of a full complement of professional building staff and storage as available. One East 66th Street is a pet-friendly community.

Perfectly positioned to enjoy Manhattan’s best, One East 66th Street is directly across Fifth Avenue from Central Park, one block from the luxury designer boutiques of Madison Avenue, three blocks from Restaurant Daniel, with its two Michelin stars, and a short drive along the 66th Street Transverse through Central Park to Lincoln Center for world-class opera, ballet, music and film. The elegant Lenox Hill neighborhood within the Upper East Side Historic District, on the United States National Register of Historic Places, is home to Frick Madison, The Asia Society, Park Avenue Armory, important art galleries and sumptuous nightlife and live jazz at The Carlyle, The Pierre and The Plaza.

Tea. From cocktails to desserts, here are some tea-inspired recipes from the tea masters at London’s Ahmad Tea.

Biscuits. Around 1672, Constance Hall recorded in her recipe book a dish called Cogs Biskett, a dish she presumably cooked for her family. Her book is now part of the Folger collection’s strong holding of handwritten recipe books, and this biscuit recipe deserves a revival as the best bread to accompany your turkey this year.
